Simaudio launches the MOON A/V Attraction 7.1 Processor

Simaudio Ltd. proudly announces the introduction of the MOON Attraction 7.1 Processor, our newest addition to the MOON A/V series of Home Theater components. Based on the original 5.1 Attraction, the 7.1 version offers many new features including eight channels of analog outputs in both balanced (XLR) and single-ended (RCA) formats for a variety of 6.1, 6.2 and 7.1 configurations, three separate analog "Pass Through" inputs, 24-bit/96kHz DACs and front panel controls. Like its predecessor, the Attraction 7.1 provides "state-of-the-art" multi-channel surround processing, digital-to-analog conversion and digital preamplification. For owners of the original Attraction, we will be offering a full factory upgrade from 5.1 to 7.1 circuitry.

Significant Design Features:

• 100% compatibility with DTS-ESä 6.1, DTS Digital Surround 5.1ä, Dolby Digitalâ Surround EX, Dolby Digitalâ 5.1 (AC-3), Dolby Pro Logicâ Decoding, MPEG Digital Audio and HDCDâ.
• Separate analog 'Pass-Through' inputs for 2, 6 and 8-channel sources.
• Four Burr Brown PCM1732u 24-bit/96kHz Digital-to-Analog converters.
• 20-bit delta-sigma Crystal CS4226 Analog-to-Digital converter.
• Crystal CS3310 digital volume controls with switched resistive array technology.
• AutoSetup ä for speaker calibration by level, delay and phase.
• Integrated video switching via 6-inputs (S-VHS and composite).
• CinEQä Multi-channel cinema equalization.
• 12 Volt DC trigger for remote operations.
• RS-232 serial communcations port.
• Optional rack mounting available from 'Middle Atlantic Products'.
