Absolute Control

The MOON 891 combines a network player, DAC, configurable MM/MC phono stage, and reference-level analog preamplifier in one chassis. It allows full control of the audio chain from the digital source to the power stage. The M-RAY2 analog volume control ensures absolute precision and silence, even at very low levels. Each stage is independently powered in an optimized dual-mono layout. The entire architecture is built for users who want to shape, preserve, and refine their sound balance over time, with consistency and control.

Processing & Conversion

Inside the 891 is the MDE3 digital engine, built for transparent conversion. It handles PCM up to 32-bit/384 kHz and DSD up to 11.2896 MHz (DSD256) through both USB Audio and MiND 2. The 891 is Roon Ready and supports Qobuz Connect, AirPlay, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, and Bluetooth. All modules, analog, digital, and volume, are physically and electrically isolated for maximum clarity and stability. The result is a fluid, balanced, and faithful playback experience across all formats and sources.

Integration & Interface

The MOON 891 features a 5.0-inch colour display, a complete array of digital inputs, three analog inputs, and variable RCA and XLR outputs. Its configurable MM/MC phono stage provides multiple gain, resistance, and capacitance settings. It acts as a control centre for hybrid analog/digital systems. The BRM-1 remote is included, and MOONLink provides seamless coordination with other MOON components. Album artwork, navigation, and interface logic are designed for everyday use: intuitive, responsive, and enduring.
