Job summary
Under the authority of the production manager, the employee is responsible for performing various tasks related to the machining of parts by operating numerically controlled machines (CNC). He must also read and interpret technical drawings in order to program the machines. In short, with the help of his many talents, the machinist will support a wonderful production team by showing diligence and versatility.
Description of key responsibilities
- Programming CNC machines
- Read and interpret technical drawings
- Determine the machining operations to be performed
- Determine the optimal sequence of operations
- Evaluate dimensions and tolerances, measure and arrange the elements to be machined
- Optimize the cutting of raw plates to maximize production
- Adjust, program (an asset), operate and maintain various machines
- Machining metal parts
- Adjust and assemble machined metal parts and subassemblies using manual and mechanical tools (mounting template)
- Check product dimensions
- Clean up your workstation and ensure the proper maintenance of the premises
- Operate the forklift

Requirements
Relevant professional experience of at least five years
Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in Mechanical Engineering Techniques
