Job summary

Under the authority of the Financial Controller, the Accounting Technician is responsible for performing tasks related to bookkeeping and clerical tasks.

Description of key responsibilities
  • Preparation, verification, analysis and registration of accounts payable invoices.
  • Processing expense accounts and corporate credit cards.
  • Verification of supplier’s account statements.
  • Record and issue checks and electronic payments.
  • Maintain the accounts payable auxiliary.
  • Communicate in English and French with suppliers to obtain the necessary information for the proper maintenance of their account.
  • Classify and digitize documents and support their physical and digital archiving.
  • Create and maintain supplier records in the ERP system
  • Keep the accrued auxiliary up to date.
  • Preparation of commission reports.
  • Assist the Financial Controller on request.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations (eventually).
  • Participate in account analysis(eventually).
  • Participate in cashflow management (eventually).
  • Assist the Financial Controller in the preparation of month-end and year-end (eventually).

Requirements
  • College diploma in accounting or equivalent
  • At least two years of experience in a similar field
  • Good knowledge of the Office suite (Excel and Outlook essential)

  • Good knowledge of written and spoken French and English
