Jocelyn has been an Electronic Designer in R&D at Simaudio since 2022.
What’s your role?
I work on the electronic design of MOON products. Starting from ideas defined by Dominique Poupart and the team, I develop the circuits and firmware to bring those ideas to life. I translate concepts into tangible, functional devices. In short, I turn concepts into real, working technology.
Your favorite MOON product?
The entire North Collection is outstanding. These are solid products with excellent performance and great technology behind them. And… I’m afraid I can’t say more. NDA!
A memorable moment?
The MOON 250i V2. That was my big project at the time, a true milestone. When it was selected among the Best Integrated Amplifiers: Editors’ Choice 2024, it was something special. Recognition like that hits differently.
What makes you proud?
Seeing products of this quality take shape and evolve with each generation of technology. At MOON, leadership values quality above all. That drives us, as designers, to always reach higher. As a designer, we strive to reach the highest standard of quality. It’s important that we are given the time and space to do things right. Here, we are. And we’re pushed by leadership to deliver our best. That pushes us to do better, to aim higher. And that’s the best kind of motivation.
A favorite album?
Meltdown by Grimskunk. That was the one for me. I was in cégep (college) when it came out and I must have seen them live at least 25 times around Montreal. My friends and I went to every show we could. I’m going to see them again next spring.
